Cold weather to persist in city, says Met office.

KARACHI -- Night temperature may fall to 7-9 degrees Celsius in the city under the influence of a cold wave that has gripped Sindh, the Met department stated on Friday.

The minimum temperature recorded on Friday was 11AdegC with 16 per cent humidity whereas the maximum temperature was 23.4AdegC with seven per cent humidity.

'The cold winds that blew throughout the night made people feel that the day and night time temperature had dropped, though it wasn't the case,' shared chief meteorologist Dr S. Sarfaraz.

He said that cold would become a bit intense as winds would stop blowing in the coming days.

The maximum wind speed recorded on Friday was 8-10 knots.
