CNG: school vans.

WE have been hearing quite frequently about fire incidents in school buses which resulted in deaths and injuries to students in school van.

Also recently, we heard about oil tanker collision with a passenger bus. This resulted in fire which led to deaths of a few passengers, while many people were injured.

These incidents can be controlled if the authorities concerned have a proper system to check road worthiness of the vehicles. School vans are loaded with children and most of them have CNG cylinders. In order to make quick money the vehicles are not serviced and checked regularly.

Furthermore, after such incidents the family of people affected has to run from pillar to post for compensation. The compensation is announced by the government just to show to public on TV channels, but it is not disbursed.
