CM Naqvi: Nawaz among all political leaders provided security in line with police SoPs.

LAHORE -- Caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi Sunday emphasized that all political leaders, including former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, had been provided security in accordance with police standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Talking to media persons, he pointed out that Zaman Park was not overlooked in the past. 'Jammers and adequate security were provided by the provincial government in Zaman Park', he added.

Naqvi also expressed his gratitude for the role of journalists and the media, acknowledging their crucial work. He promised to provide journalists with meaningful support and to be receptive to their needs.

Naqvi also stated that he seeks the goodwill and blessings of the journalistic community as he undertakes his responsibilities.

To another question, he said teachers have been released across Punjab.

However, he affirmed that no one will be allowed to close educational institutions.

CM Naqvi added that it was inappropriate to involve students in protests. He stressed that shutting down schools across Punjab and using children for such purposes was untenable.

Addressing the concern of privatization in the education sector, he categorically denied rumors of schools charging fees from Rs 5 or 50 to 50 thousand rupees, declaring them false.

On the developmental front, Mohsin Naqvi affirmed his commitment to completing development projects in a timely manner, particularly highlighting the construction and repair of 100 hospitals across Punjab by January 31.
