CM lays foundation of cardiac institute in DG Khan.

DERA GHAZI KHAN -- Chief Minister UsmanBuzdar laid the foundation stone of Sardar Fateh Muhammad Khan Buzdar Institute of Cardiology in DG Khan on Thursday.

The chief minister said the 200-bed project would be completed at a cost of Rs4.28 billion out of which Rs3 billion would be spent in the first phase for the construction of eight medical departments and other structure over an area of 44 kanals in two years. A 100-bed hospital wouldbe made functional in the first phase, he added.

This modern facility which would benefit patients of all the four provinces should have been made years before, he said, adding it was a gift of the PTI for the southern Punjab. He said public welfare projects wouldbe completed on priority.

He said the establishment of a cardiology institute in DG Khan was a dream of his father Sardar Fateh Muhammad Khan and it is being materialised today.
