Clarification.

Apropos a news item published in Dawn on Feb 26 under the headline 'Bureaucrats oppose induction of private experts in PAS', a spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office has clarified that secretary to the prime minister Azam Khan did not oppose civil service administrative reforms.

The spokesperson said the report reflected confusion in distinguishing between two senior bureaucrats, one currently serving as secretary to the prime minister and the other retired chief secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with the same name who had served on the same post.
