China Balks on Mongolian Meat Import Following Outbreak of Disease

China might postpone importing meat from Mongolia due to an outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease in Bayan-Ulgii Province.

Mongolia and China signed a six billion CNY agreement at the China-Mongolia Expo in October for the export of 128,000 tons of meat. The Ministry of Food and Agriculture calculated profits from export in state budget projections.
