Chairman briefed on Karachi NAB performance.

ISLAMABAD -- Chairman NAB Jutsice (R) Javed Iqbal yesterday chaired a meeting to review the performance of NAB Karachi especially convictions made under Section 10 of the National Accountability Ordinance (NAO) 1999 during the tenure of present management of NAB from October 2017 to August 2021.

Dr. Najaf Quli Mirza, Director General NAB-Karachi attended the meeting via video link, said a press release issued by the NAB headquarters here.

During the meeting, the Chairman appreciated the excellent performance of NAB Karachi under the supervision of Director General Dr. Najaf Quli Mirza.

During the meeting, Dr. Najaf Quli Mirza informed that during the first quarter of 2021, the details of the convicted persons under section 10 of NAO-1999 including Syed Muhammad Furqan, Rasheed Ahmed s/o Fareed Ahmed, Muhammad Saleem Yousuf, Shafique Ahmed Khan, Nisar Ahmed Jan Memon (Nisar Morai), Sultan Qamar Siddiqui, Muhammad Suhail Shaikh, Muhammad Waqas s/o Abdul Ghani, Irsahd Ali Jessar, Imran Ghani, Syed Naeem Akhtar, Barkat Ali Junejo, Matloob Ahmed Khan, Wali Dad Khosa Mushtaq Ahmed Qureshi, Noor Muhammad, Iqbal Shafique, Fareed Ahmed Yousufani, Tahir Jameel Durrani, Fareed Nasim, Atta Abbas Zaidi and Waseem Iqbal.

The DG NAB-Karachi also informed the meeting that during the year 2020, due to the efforts of NAB-Karachi, the details of the convicted persons under section 10 of the NAO-1999 are accused Rizwan Ahmed Khan, Nayyer Nadeem Khan, Muhammad Jameel, Muhammad Yameen, Anwar Ali, Jalil Ahmed Lashari, Kamla Muhamamd Salik Nukrich, Abdul Aziz, Shahid Raza Shah, Wajid Ali Jatoi, Qamaruddin, Ali Muhammad Unar and Abdul Khaliq.

The DG NAB-Karachi also informed the meeting that during the year 2019, due to the efforts of NAB-Karachi 57 persons were convicted by different Accountability Courts under section 10 of...
