Certificates, cash prizes distributed among 31 Fesco linemen.

FAISALABAD -- The Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (Fesco) has distributed commendation certificates and cash prizes among 31 linemen in recognition of their excellent performance while adopting safety measures during fiscal year 2021-22.

In a statement issued here on Saturday, Additional Director General Health Safety Environment and Quality Control Assurance Munawar Mehmood said that adoption of safety measures were prerequisite for entire field staff of power distribution companies but some employees did not care it which some time caused untoward incidents.

He said that Chief Executive Officer Fesco Engineer Bashir Ahmed had issued clear-cut directions to the entire field staff that they should adopt safety measures at every cost while working on live lines, otherwise, strict action would be taken against the disobedient worker.

Hence, the Fesco line staff adopted safety measures strictly while working on live lines as the company had approved 'zero-tolerance' policy in this regard, he added.
