CDA's anti-encroachment drive faces resistance.

ISLAMABAD -- The Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Wednesday faced strong resistance during an anti-encroachment operation in Humak town that falls in the jurisdiction of Sihala police station.

The CDA's enforcement teams along with police reached there to remove encroachment from the state land.

However, when the team tried to demolish a mosque, which, according to CDA Deputy Commissioner Saad bin Asad, was constructed on the CDA land, the clerics retaliated and pelted the on enforcement team with stones.

The CDA had to stop operation as its machinery developed a fault.

According to the DC, who was also present on the occasion, police also picked five people for resisting operations, who were later released.
