Caretaker Punjab cabinet approves distribution of free 20kg flour bags.

The caretaker Punjab cabinet has approved distribution of free 20kg flour bag instead of 10kg among the deserving families from March 29.

The move aims to save people from repeated visits to the distribution centers.

The meeting chaired by Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi reviewed provision of free flour throughout the province in detail and decided to implement this decision from 29th of this month.

The meeting was told that so far more than seven million flour bags had been distributed among deserving people.

The cabinet also approved restructuring of the Child Protection and Welfare Bureau (CPWB).

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Saturday directed the authorities concerned to provide free flour to the needy during the holy month of Ramazan.

He was chairing a review meeting here for provision of free flour to the people of Islamabad capital territory.

Shehbaz said the government was taking all possible measures to reduce the difficulties of poor people in Ramazan.

'After my visits to Lahore, Kasur and Sargodha, I will visit other cities to oversee the process for supply of free flour and to ensure quality.'
