Careless motorcyclists.

SEEING the body of a woman on an extremely hot road owing to some motorbike accident is unforgettable. Undoubtedly motorbikes offer a most affordable means of transportation to low-income families who also use it as a family transport.

However, owing to negligence on the part of both, the motorcyclists and the law enforcement agencies, many accidents occur every day.

A few days ago, I happened to visit Faisalabad. On my way almost six to seven motorcyclists suddenly came in front of our car so unexpectedly that if we had not been alert, a collision would have occurred. Coincidently, in all such cases the common thing observed was the absence of the side view mirror on motorbikes. The absence of the side view mirror is a threat to none other than the rider himself. While all motorcycle manufacturing companies install two side view mirrors on every motorbike, hardly anyone lets it remain in their place.
