Call to withdraw hike in oil price.

KARAK -- The office-bearers of Chountra Welfare Organisation and Lawagher Movement here on Sunday demanded of the federal government to withdraw the decision of increase in prices of petroleum products as it would affect the poor people.

The demand was made in a joint meeting held here with rights activist Waheed Shah in the chair.

The participants said that the government had been taking steps contrary to the PTI's election promises. They said that prices of all daily use commodities had increased after the surge in oil prices.

They resolved to hold an anti-government protest if the demand was not accepted.
