Call to respect all religions, sects.

KOHAT -- Speakers at a workshop on Friday called for tolerance and respect for all religions and sects to ensure existence of a peaceful society.

The workshop titled 'we Pakistanis' was held under the auspices of Allama Iqbal Open University at the Kohat University of Science and Technology.

The chief guest on the occasion was state minister for Safron and narcotics Sheharyar Afridi.

On the occasion, Mr Afridi called for determining the status of the people and organisations before giving them zakat and alms so such money did not go to wrong people. He stressed that only in that way the country could be transformed into a true welfare state.
