Cabinet condemns attempt on Imran's life.

LAHORE -- Chief Minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi presided over the Punjab Cabinet meeting on Friday that unanimously condemned the attempt on former premier Imran Khan's life on Thursday.

A resolution issued after the meeting stated the Punjab Cabinet strongly condemned the incident of firing on PTI Chairman Imran Khan during 'Haqeeqi Azadi march'.

Terming Mr Khan the most popular political leader in all the four provinces, it says the assault on him is a nefarious action meant to sabotage the country's law and order, unity and integrity, and create unrest and instability.

It further stated that the Punjab Cabinet meeting pays tributes to the sacrifice of the martyred party worker, Moazzam Gondal, during the Wazirabad firing incident.
