BZU changes examination controller after paper leak.

MULTAN -- The Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU) absolved the examination controller of the charge on Thursday after a paper of LLB-part-I was leaked on Wednesday.

Registrar Rashid Khan notified the withdrawal of additional charge of examination controller from Dr Farooq, quality enhancement director, and assigned the additional charge of the office to Dr Amanullah of Department of Statics.

The leaked paper was emailed to the registrar who brought the matter into the knowledge of Vice Chancellor Dr Mansoor Akbar Kundi.

Dr Farooq voluntarily left the additional charge. Presently, the statutory offices of registrar, controller of examination and treasurer have been run with ad hoc appointments for many years.

On Aug 9, 2019, the principal secretary to the governor/chancellor directed all public universities to fill these positions with regular staff immediately as per prescribed procedures in three months. Moreover, it was also mentioned that failure to meet these deadlines will lead to disciplinary action under the law/rules.
