Business community promises relief to consumers in Ramazan.

PESHAWAR -- The business community will provide food items to the inflation-hit consumers at subsidised rates in order to provide them relief during the holy month of Ramazan.

According to a statement issued here on Tuesday, Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) president Mohammad Ishaq said the unprecedented increase in prices of daily use commodities had made lives of the poor extremely miserable. He asked traders not to indulge in hoarding and profiteering so the people could get maximum support during the fasting month.

He said the business community would provide food items at reasonable price to mitigate the financial problems of the poor. He said it was right time to seek Allah's forgiveness.
