Bribe alleged for the post of chief engineer in FEHA.

Islamabad -- It has been alleged that some high ups have allegedly offered bribes to secure the post of chief engineer for their blue-eye boys in Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FEHA), a sub-department of the Ministry of Housing and Works, credible sources said on Thursday.

The high ups through the minister staff have allegedly offered Rs5 million as bribe to Federal Minister for Housing and Works Tariq Bashir Cheema for the post.

The minister, however, has rejected the offer and reaffirmed his commitment to fill the post on merit.

In this connection, the minister has sought a name-list of the panel from different departments and the panel will conduct interviews of the potential candidates and on the basis of which appointment of the chief engineer will be made.

A summary was also dispatched to the minister which was stopped by his staff and the bribe offer was also made through his staff.

The sources said that if high ups succeeded to secure the post for their blue-eye, their job in the future will be secured. However, the minister's staff has informed him about the developments.
