'Branding Pakistani mangoes vital for increasing exports'.

KARACHI -- The National Assembly Special Committee on Agriculture on Monday recommended an increase in the number of days per week and extended hours to facilitate export of mangoes to Iran.

On the occasion, Minister for National Food Security and Research Syed Fakhar Imam said that value addition and branding was vital to enhance exports of Pakistani mangoes and fetching better rates of return in international markets.

The meeting, chaired by NA Speaker Asad Qaiser, was attended by Minister for Planning Asad Umar, Minister for Foreign Affairs Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Minister for Aviation Ghulam Sarwar Khan, opposition leader Naveed Qamar, CEO PIA Air Commodore Arshad Malik and federal secretaries.
