BISP beneficiaries protest shifting of centre 20km away.

FAISALABAD -- Scores of women from Tandlianwala staged a demonstration on Monday against the government for shifting the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) collection centre far away from their village.

The demonstrators found out about the shifting of the centre when they went to collect their financial assistance under the programme.

Talking to reporters, they said they were widows and making both ends meet through the financial assistance they used to collect from the point established in Tandlianwala. However, they were now told to go to Jhok Ditta or Mamunkanjan for the collection.
