Bilawal says he agrees 100% with statement of DG ISPR that Pakistan Army should not be dragged in politics.

KARACHI -- Pakistan People's Party Chairman (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that he agrees 100 percent with the statement of Director General (DG) Inter-Services Public Relation (ISPR) Major General Babar Iftikhar that Pakistan Army should not be dragged in the politics, adding that it is my aim and basic principle of Pakistan People's Party that army should have no role in the politics then what contradiction could be in this.

While addressing a press conference at the Bilawal House along with provincial ministers Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, Saeed Ghani and Information Secretary of PPP Shazia Atta Marri, Bilawal Bhutto said that he acknowledges that in past some rotten eggs might have given their votes in wrong manner but most of the people vote according to their conscience.

Bilawal Bhutto said that we want the right of secret ballot of members, which is also constitutional right of every citizen, and if the Supreme Court of Pakistan makes any reversal regarding this constitutional right then it would be a decision like the decisions which are made according to doctrine of necessity and it would be a severe attack on the democracy. He said that the discussion and legislation should be done to stop the buying and selling of votes in senate elections, adding that the legislation should be carried out for this purpose and all the parties present in Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) have said that they are ready to carryout legislation and brining electoral reforms package but the government did not want electoral reforms. He said that the government wants to stop its members, who want to vote according to their own will.

Bilawal Bhutto said that if the Senate elections are held according to law, constitution, democratic norms and previous precedents of the country then the whole world would see that the majority which is claimed by the government they did not...
