SOON after the imposition of the lockdown to stop the spread of Covid-19 in Karachi and elsewhere, swarms of drug addicts have flooded the posh localities of Karachi, especially DHA.

They can be seen huddled up at any time of the day on empty plots of land in DHA, especially the Badar and Tauheed commercial areas. They pretend to be Afghan rag pickers holding garbage bags, but actually they seek alms or are involved in small robberies at every opportunity.
