Bazad, Latif share limelight in Faruqi Invitation cricket.

KARACHI -- Bazad Khan scored a superlative century while there five-wicket hauls for Latif Junejo and Syed Imran in the latest round matches decided in the Prof Ejaz Ahmed Faruqi Invitation Cricket Tournament here on Thursday.

Tariq Memorial Club CC rode on the three-figure innings by opener Bazad to thump Abu Rehan CC by 98 runs at their own ground in Gulberg. Batting first, TMC compiled 268-9 in their stipulated 45 overs with Bazad making 121 from 116 deliveries, while hitting seven boundaries and one six. Talha Malik scored 56 that included five fours.

Sheikh Amir and Mohammad Hammad grabbed three wickets each for Abu Rehan CC, who were bowled out for 170 in the 36th over with Talha Babar contributing a defiant 71 featuring eight fours.

Slow left-armer Mahmood Jamshed claimed four wickets for 36 runs.

Paceman Latif Junejo dismantled Al-Rehman CC's batting with a devastating new-ball burst of six for 14 in six overs to send them reeling for a miserly 63 inside 16 overs before Nazimabad Gymkhana knocked off the small target in just 7.4 overs at the KCCA Stadium.

Southpaw spinner Syed Imran snared five wickets for 18 runs and Khuzaima Bin Tanvir took 3-21 to enable Qureshi Dolphin CC to wallop Saudabad Gymkhana by 246 runs at Landhi Gymkhana.

Chasing a challenging 324, Saudabad Gymkhana's innings lasted 29.2 overs during which they crumbled to 77 all out.
