Balochistan governor concerned over gas crisis.

QUETTA -- Balochistan Governor retired Justice Amanullah Khan Yasinzai on Saturday expressed concern over low gas pressure and unannounced gas loadshedding in Quetta and other areas of the province and directed Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) officials to solve the problem immediately.

The governor held a meeting with SSGC officials headed by General Manager Balochistan Madni Siddique and discussed the issue on Saturday, according to a press release.

'In such harsh weather, low gas pressure and unannounced load-shedding are causing immense difficulties to people,' he stated.

He said there were reports that people were using compressors to draw out gas to keep their homes warm. 'Strict action should be taken against them and against those having illegal connections,' he said.
