Balochistan Government delegation calls on CS Sindh.

KARACHI -- Impressed with the success of IBA Sukkur University, a delegation of Balochistan government Thursday desired that Sindh Government should setup its campus in Naseerabad (Balochistan) and also grant scholarships to the students of Balochistan.

The delegation expressed such desire in a meeting with Sindh Chief Secretary Syed Mumtaz Ali Shah held at his office on Thursday. A 3-member delegation of European Union also joined the meeting. Balochistan delegation consisted of MPA Ahmed Nawaz, Qadir Nahil, Ms. Shaheena Kakar, Ms. Mahjabeen and secretaries of local government and social welfare departments.

Sindh Chief Secretary briefed the Balochistan delegation on the provincial poverty reduction program, National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases, IBA Sukkur, Thar Coal and some other successful projects of Sindh government. He told them that seventy percent of the total employees at Thar Coal project are locals and the Thari women are now driving the heavy dumper trucks.

As regards NICVD, The Chief Secretary said that it offers free treatment and patients from across the country are availing this facility.
