Balochistan CM calls on counterpart in Punjab.

LAHORE -- Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan met Chief Minister Usman Buzdar here on Wednesday and discussed matters of mutual interest.

Mr Khan thanked the Punjab chief minister for the cooperation extended by the Punjab government and both further agreed to take collective steps for saving crops from locust attack and eradication of coronavirus.

In order to welcome the Balochistan chief minister at the Lahore airport and engagements with him, it is learnt Mr Buzdar had postponed the 32nd provincial cabinet meeting on Wednesday and rescheduled it for Thursday (today).

In the meeting, Mr Buzdar reiterated that Punjab would continue serving the people living in Balochistan. 'The development of Balochistan is as dear as that of Punjab,' Mr Buzdar said.

The chief minister told the Balochistan CM said that the Punjab government had allocated Rs1.25 billion in the budget to establish a technical college in Kharan, a community centre in Taftan and a 100-bed hospital in Turbat.

He assured that Punjab would make every effort to serve the residents of Balochistan province and added that funds had been provided to restore the mausoleum of Mir Chakar-e-Azam Rind in Okara.
