Bajaur DPO calls for promotion of community policing.

BAJAUR -- The district police officer, Nazeer Khan, on Thursday called for promoting community policing to resolve disputes amicably.

He also directed police personnel to remain on high alert during Iftar and Taraveeh prayers to thwart any untoward incident. He was talking speaking to personnel of his force during visit to different police posts and police stations located along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in Mamond tehsil, said a statement.

The DPO visited several police posts and under-construction police station in Laghari area near the Pakistan-Afghan border. The visit was meant to check law and order in the region and inspect the status and performance of police posts. He also met with police personnel, elders and locals on the occasion.

Mr Khan directed his subordinates to behave well with all the people visiting the police posts and stations for their legal issues. He asked policemen to give priorities to community policing in their areas as it was the best and easy solution to community...
