AZRC. D. I. Khan is boosting agriculture sector in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa - Mr. Mahmood Khan, Chief Minister, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The Chief Minister, KP Mr. Mehmood Khan along with Federal Minister for Kashmir affairs GB, Mr. Ali Amin Khan Gandapur visited the Arid Zone Research Centre, Ratta Kulachi, D.I.Khan. They were accompanied by Mr.Sheikh Muhammad Yaqoob, MNA / Advisor to PM on Economic affairs, Mr. Ajmal Khan Wazir, Spokesperson of KP government, Commissioner, RPO, DIKhan Division and DC, AC and amp; DPO of DIKhan district. They were received by Dr. Noman Latif, Director and amp; officers of AZRC and briefed about the PARC functions and amp; progress at AZRC, DIKhan with special emphasis on PSDP project under execution in four districts of KP, i.e. LakkiMarwat, Tank, Wana (South Tribal District) and amp; Miranshah (North Tribal District). D.I.Khan has also established a system of information provision, advisory services and free veterinary camps facility to farming community for effective cure for animal wounds/burns by application of herbal extracts and traditional medicines. The Honorable Chief Minister was also briefed about Groundnut Experiments under tube well irrigated conditions which was the first time cultivation of groundnut in the history of these areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
