Azerbaijan committed to continue supporting Pakistan at every forum: Envoy.

ISLAMABAD -- Ambassador of Azerbaijan in Pakistan Ali Alizada Wednesday said the government and people of Azerbaijan highly valued the brotherly ties with Pakistan and would continue supporting it at every forum considering it their close fraternal country.

'Azerbaijan and Pakistan are bound by the relations, strong friendship and strategic partnership which reflects the will of our fraternal nations and we remain committed to further strengthen our relations with brotherly Pakistan,' the ambassador said in his message on the occasion of the National Day of Azerbaijan annually celebrated on May 28.

May 28 is the National Day of Azerbaijan which marks the establishment of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic and a historic event when a democratic republic was created for the first time in the Muslim world in 1918.

He said it was pleasing that Azerbaijan's ties with Pakistan also steadily accelerated and both countries always enjoyed longstanding warm and cordial relations.

Many projects and productive cooperation between the two countries are continued in economic, military, military-technical, defence industry, security, cultural, media, science, education, energy and humanitarian-social fields. Only in 2019, several mutual visits of government and military officials were carried out from both sides, he added.

Referring to the frequent high level interactions between the leadership and the business communities of the two countries, the ambassador said the launch of direct flights between the two countries during current year was a priority as a lot of work had already been done in this respect.
