Azad Pattan to produce cheaper, greener energy: Asim.

ISLAMABAD -- Chairman China-Pakistan Economic Corridor Authority Asim Saleem Bajwa on Monday said that focus of the Azad Pattan Hydel power project is cheaper and greener energy. In a tweet message, he said with this project Punjab and Azad and Jammu Kashmir will have an annual income of 1.38 billion rupees.

He said the project worth 1.5 billion dollar is an investment instead of loan, while it will generate three thousand jobs. He said this project needs no import of fuel; hence there will be no wastage of foreign exchange.

Bajwa, who is also Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting, said despite prevailing situation of COVID-19 in the country, the mega project of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) was moving forward with full force and more projects under CPEC would be signed in near future.
