Attack on AT office condemned.

HYDERABAD -- Activists of Awami Tehreek blocked a section of Thandi Sarak outside Shahbaz building here on Monday in protest against attack on the party office and abduction of a senior party leader.

AT president Dr Rasool Bux Khaskheli, vice president Sajjad Ahmed Chandio, secretary general Noor Ahmed Katiar and Sindhiyani Tehreek leaders, who led the protest, said that a group of gunmen attacked the party's central secretariat at midnight on Nov 1.

They kidnapped 60-year-old Mehboob Rahujo, who looked after the party's monthly magazine Kapari, and also took away several books, magazines and other documents, including pamphlets against Bahria Town Karachi.

They lamented that Hyderabad police were not taking any action against the attackers despite lapse of a week. Police were repeatedly approached and even SSP and DIG Hyderabad were contacted in writing but in vain, he said.
