ATC adjourns four cases against 'financers' of banned outfit.

MULTAN -- An anti-terrorism court on Monday adjourned the hearing of four different cases till March 25 to charge sheet the suspects for their alleged involvement in providing financial assistance to a wing of banned militant outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and helping it in sale and purchase of properties.

The suspects -- Hafiz Abdul Salam, Muhammad Yahya, Hafiz Abdul Rehman, Haji Muhammad Ashraf and Malik Zaffar Iqbal -- who were presented by the police in the court were provided the copies of the FIRs lodged against them with the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) police under various sections.

As per the first FIR, the arrested suspects provided help to the militants involved in sabotage activities in various cities of the province. Besides, the arrested suspects, others including Dr Muhammad Ayub, Abdullah Ubaid, Umer Farooq, Muhammad Dawood, Mohsin Bilal, Dr Ahmed Dawood and Muhammad Naeem, who have been declared proclaimed offenders, were also booked by the CTD police on July 2, 2019.
