Arrangements for anti-polio drive in Bajaur reviewed.

KHAR -- Officials of the administration and health department in Bajaur tribal district on Friday vowed to make successful the upcoming anti-polio campaign scheduled to be launched from Monday.

They were speaking at a meeting to review arrangements for the campaign. It was presided over by deputy commissioner Usman Mehsud and attended by district health officer Dr Wazir Khan Safi, additional deputy commissioner and others.

The meeting decided to engage all stakeholders, especially the elders and religious leaders, in the drive for smooth conduct of the campaign and to administer polio drops to all the children below five years of age in the district.

It was also decided that consultative meetings would be held with tribal elders and religious leaders before launch of the drive to take them on board.
