Aqeel clinches Federal Cup title.

ISLAMABAD -- Veteran Aqeel Khan won the 33rd Federal Cup National Ranking tennis tournament's men's singles title after defeating Muzammil Murtaza here at the PTF Complex on Sunday.

Aqeel, the long serving national champion built up the 2-0 lead by breaking Muzammil's first game. Muzammil leveled the score in the first set breaking the Aqeel's fourth game.

Muzammil won the first 6-3 thanks to his powerful strokes from the baseline.

In the second set the score went up to 3-3, as both the players held their respective services. However, Aqeel emerged as the set winner after breaking breaking Muzammil's eighth game following a long deuce.
