THE recent events since the Aug 5 revoking of the article 370, which gave special status to Kashmir, speak volumes of unique secularism of Bharat mata. The recent verdict of the Indian Supreme Court regarding the Babri Masjid is deviation from Indian law, according to which the status at the time of independence in 1947 of all places of worship for all religions will be maintained.

Prior to the demolition of the mosque by Hindu fanatics all courts had given the verdict in favour of maintaining the mosque as it has been for centuries.
