Anti-encroachment drive begins in Battagram.

BATTAGRAM -- The district administration on Friday launched an anti-encroachment drive in the main Battagram Bazaar along the Karakoram Highway.

On the direction of deputy commissioner Altaf Hussain, additional assistant commissioner Bashir Khan along with the TMA staff removed encroachments along the roadsides and from the footpaths.

The anti-encroachment team also removed sitting area from footpaths made by restaurants and makeshift eateries.

The people were warned not to throw waste, garbage and dump building material such as sand, cement bags, iron rods and bricks on the footpaths.
