ANP calls for resolution of issues through dialogue.

SWABI -- Awami National Party leaders here on Friday called upon the mainstream political parties to shun confrontation and resolve the country's political and economic issues through dialogue.

In a meeting, they said that unending confrontation could harm the country and its economy.

Mukhtiar Khan, former CM's adviser and ANP leader, said the politics of confrontation had reached its climax after removal of former prime minister Imran Khan through no-confidence motion. He said the PTI leaders were demanding fresh elections while the coalition government wanted to complete its constitutional term.

'The political leaders should have the capability to resolve complicated issues through negotiations,' he said.

ANP district president Amanullah said that his party had always followed the non-violence philosophy of Abdul Ghaffar Khan and it would be the right option to accommodate each other's views and focus on country's progress.
