Another increase in electricity tariff proposed.

Electricity prices may go up by 21 paisa per unit further as the Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) on Saturday filed an application in the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) for hike in the rates under the monthly fuel adjustment.

The NEPRA will hear the petition on September 29, 2022.

In its petition, the CPPA said that over 13 billion units of electricity was produced in the last month of August at the cost of Rs137 billion.
