'All sectors performed exceptionally well under PTI regime.

ISLAMABAD -- Former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on Wednesday said all sectors were performing exceptionally well and 5.5 million jobs had been provided during the tenure of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI).

He also called on people to come out in large numbers on July 2 and participate in the protest to be staged on Parade Ground in Islamabad.

Speaking at the PTI workers' convention, Mr Khan said the economic survey released by the current government had clearly indicated that during PTI's tenure, all sectors were performing well.

IT exports had increased by 70pc and 5.5 million jobs were provided while agriculture and industries witnessed record production during his tenure, he said.

The PTI chief said his party did not shift the burden on to the people despite the International Monetary Fund's pressure whereas the present government had opened a floodgate of inflation, with prices skyrocketing and the economy dwindling fast. The 'imported government' has raised prices of electricity, petrol, diesel and gas enormously, multiplying the miseries of the people, he added.

About the protest, Mr Khan urged people to shun fear and come out in large numbers to register their protest against 'thieves and get rid of slavery once and for all'.
