Alam, Nazir share first-round lead at DHA Open.

KARACHI -- Mohammad Alam and Mohammad Nazir claimed a share of the lead in the opening round of the DHA Open Golf Championship on Friday when the big hitters failed to really fire.

Alam and Nazir both shot a 70 to take a one-shot advantage over a quintet of golfers that include the in-form Ahmed Baig, Mohammad Munir, Hamza Amin, Sajjad Khan and Nasir Masih.

Pakistan number one Shabbir Iqbal was one of three golfers alongside Shafaq Khan and Mohammad Naeem who were two strokes off the lead with two further rounds to play.
