Afghanistan invites Pakistani companies for JVs in mining sector.

ISLAMABAD -- CEO, Afghanistan Industries, Mines and Investment High Council Mohammad Shabir Bashiry has said that private sector of Afghanistan is interested to engage Pakistani counterparts in mining sector that has great potential for growth. He said this during his visit to Islamabad Chamber and Commerce and Industry(ICCI) where he held a meeting with local business community to discuss the possibilities of establishing joint ventures in mining sector inAfghanistan.

He wasflanked by a delegation. CommercialAttache, Embassy of Afghanistan Samina Wadeer and representatives of PakAfghan Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry were also present at the occasion. He urged that Pakistani investors should set up joint ventures for promoting mechanized mining in his country. Speaking at the occasion, , He said that Afghanistan was still an untapped market for Pakistani entrepreneurs and they should take full benefit of emerging business opportunities in Afghanistan.
