Action launched against 12 housing societies.

RAWALPINDI -- On the directives of Commissioner Mohammad Mehmood, Rawalpindi and Attock district administrations launched action against 12 illegal housing societies on Thursday.

The offices of six housing societies in Rawalpindi and four in Attock were demolished by the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) and the Attock district administration.

According to a senior official of the RDA, the site offices of Abad Pearl Villas, ACHS Sector VI, Maryam Green City, Rose Valley, Ruden Enclave and Islamabad Farm Houses Phase-III were demolished on Adiala Road. Six billboards as well as electric poles were also removed.

In Attock, the offices of four housing societies in Fatehjang were demolished and their goods seized.
