Acid attack on newly-weds.

LODHRAN -- A newlywed couple was injured in an acid attack near Dhanote late on Sunday.

According to Rescue 1122, the couple, whose wedding was held on June 17, was asleep at home in Basti Bhani near Dhanote when someone attacked them with acid.

The victims were identified as Muhammad Altaf, 25, and his wife Shareefan Bibi, 18. Both suffered burns and were shifted to the Lodhran District Headquarters to be referred to the Bahawal Victoria Hospital because of their serious condition.
