His Excellency Ambassador Andreas Ferrarese is an outstanding diplomat who has made significant contributions to the strong ties between Italy and Pakistan during his tenure as the Ambassador of Italy to Pakistan since February 2020. This mission focused on unearthing new archaeological discoveries and preserving cultural heritage. Such initiatives promote cultural exchange and mutual understanding between nations. Ambassador Ferrarese also played a pivotal role in fostering cooperation between Italy and Pakistan in the area of climate protection. Through collaboration with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), he facilitated a program titled "Glaciers and Students." This initiative aimed to monitor climate and glaciers in the Pakistani mountain regions, supporting hydro-geological risk prevention. Ambassador Ferrarese actively supported Pakistan in maintaining its GSP plus status, particularly in European parliaments. This assistance helped Pakistan access trade preferences, fostering economic growth and development.
