Accountability court extends judicial remand of Shahid Khaqan, Miftah Ismail till Jan 6.

ISLAMABAD -- Accountability Court Islamabad judge Muhammad Azam Khan on Monday has extended judicial remand of former premier and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior Vice President Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and ex-finance minister Dr. Miftah Ismail till January 6 in liquefied natural gas (LNG) scandal.

During the hearing, the court has also summed all 10 accused nominated in the reference on next hearing of the case.

Talking to the media after the hearing on Monday, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that there are tax evaders and corrupt people in the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. 'My case is very weak and the NAB should withdraw it,' he added.

He said that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) issue can be resolved. 'We have proposed three names and the government has also recommended the same numbers. One of the nominees can be appointed the chief...
