Former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi may become the leader of the opposition in the National Assembly if Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif is convicted in a corruption scandal, a local media outlet on Monday. Abbasi was elected to the National Assembly in by-polls conducted on Sunday.
