70 Hazara ASIs promoted.

MANSEHRA -- Seventy assistant sub-inspectors of Hazara division's police were promoted as sub-inspectors on Thursday.

The promotion came on the recommendation of the police department's internal promotion board headed by deputy inspector general of Hazara range Tahir Ayub Khan. The board met with DIG Tahir Ayub Khan in the chair.

The participants included district police officer of Mansehra Zahoor Babar Afridi, DPO of Abbottabad Umar Tufail and other police officers.

The board finalised promotions after examining service record of the applicants, who belonged to Mansehra, Torghar, Battagram, Abbottabad, Torghar, Haripur, Kohistan and Kolai-Palas districts. The DIG said the promotions were made 'purely on merit.'
