62 die of Covid in Punjab; Lahore takes the brunt of it.

LAHORE -- The death toll of the Covid-19 in Punjab crossed the figure of 1,000 after record 62 more patients died of the virus across the province during the last 24 hours.

The most disturbing situation is being witnessed in Lahore, which has reported 50 of 62 deaths.

The newly reported deaths were double in number compared to 31 officially recorded in Punjab on Sunday.

According to the updates, the death toll due to the virus in Punjab has reached 1,031. Of these deaths, 380 were reported in Lahore, 209 in Rawalpindi, 91 in Multan, 90 in Faisalabad and 48 in Gujranwala.
