RAWALPINDI -- Police have booked 50 people after they held a protest in Ratta Amral against the arrest of an alleged drug peddler.

The protesters blocked traffic and damaged a vehicle besides chanting slogans against the police.

The police said a group of people led by Gulab Zer, a resident of Pirwadhai, gathered outside the Ratta police station after Sajid Hussain was arrested for his alleged involvement in a drug and gambling case on Friday.
