LAHORE -- The Punjab Highway Patrol registered 449 cases on violation of different laws

including traffic rules, illegal weapons, narcotics and liquor in the last fortnight.

According to a PHP spokesman, officials also recovered 5,169 litters of liquor, 29,893 gram

hashish, eight kalashnikovs, 19 riffles, 29 guns, 141 pistols, 103 cartridges, 44 magazines

and 2,520 rounds from the accused.

Moreover, the Punjab Highway Patrol arrested 165 proclaimed offenders and 22 court absconders

during the same period.

The patrolling police provided services to 5,009 commuters on roads. The officials

recovered 16 missing...
