39 NICVD employees test positive for corona in a month.

KARACHI -- As many as 39 employees of National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD), including doctors, nurses, paramedical staff, and other administrative officials, have tested positive for coronavirus during the second wave so far.

A spokesperson for NICVD informed that at least 39 employee of institution had tested positive for COVID-19 in a month and they all had been isolated at homes.

However, the results of 40 others' tests were being awaiting. He further informed that NICVD had started screening of staff after reporting of positive and suspected cases.

He said all healthcare workers had been instructed to strictly follow standard operating procedure (SOPs) during duty hours.
